EPC is a pioneer in GaN based power devices and integrated circuits. The goal of the Test Engineer II is to present a clear picture of our products’ performance based on a continuous investigation into tester-device interaction. The GaN IC Test Engineer responsibilities include:

  • Draft, design, and build test systems to functionally test GaN ICs
  • Draft, design, execute and report on reliability testing of GaN ICs
  • Draft testing specifications
  • Design automated test systems for GaN IC testing
  • Collect IC characteristic data in support of datasheet drafting collateral
  • Working with counsel, draft patent applications.
  • Support application engineers with IC information
  • Some customer support
  • Failure Analysis – participant and report contributor

Job Requirements:

  • Report generation and data collection
  • Datasheet data collateral generation using statistically disciplined tools and procedures
  • PCB layout capture
  • ATE programming
  • Technical document generation
  • Semiconductor failure mechanisms
  • Schematic capture skills
  • Strong data processing and documentation skills
  • Good computer and applications skills
  • Deep understanding of measurement systems analysis

Education/Experience:

  • MS degree or PhD in electronics, electrical engineering or physics
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Deep understanding of digital and analog devices
  • Experience in test development in IC or RF device fab
  • Programming skills in languages such as C/C++, Visual Basic, Matlab, etc.
  • Expertise in testing of IC’s, including prior use and programming of automated test equipment such as TEL, ASL, Agilent, etc.
  • PCB layout and schematic capture experience
  • Expertise in circuit simulation
  • Printed circuit board experience
  • Technical documentation training and/or experience
  • Knowledge of electrical circuit elements and circuits including transistors of various types a plus
  • Measurement systems analysis on high performance analog testing equipment
