Job Description:

EPC is a pioneer in GaN based power devices and integrated circuits. We are enabling new applications from machine to environment awareness using LIDAR to an integrated and cordless world through wireless power. We are innovators and drivers for a highly efficient power delivery chain of the future.

The IC Design Center Leader will work with EPC senior leaders to create and staff an IC design center in southern California. As the design center comes to life, the leader will be responsible for overseeing operations, project planning and team assignments, and integrating the center and its people into the EPC culture and processes. On an ongoing basis, the leader will be responsible for:

  • attracting, retaining and developing talented people
  • managing the design center budget
  • product NPI
  • review of testing procedures and technical documents
  • marketing support
  • planning and alignment with other groups such as applications, marketing, etc.

Job Requirements:

  • Effective leadership skills, including goal-setting, coaching, collaboration and talent management
  • Good understanding of semiconductors, semiconductor processes, and electronic circuits
  • Strong data processing and documentation skills
  • Good computer and applications skills

Education/Experience:

  • BS degree in engineering/technical discipline; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience
  • Project management training and/or experience
  • I/C testing, production and design experience a plus

Travel:

High level of interaction with EPC leaders in early stages of creating the design center to build relationships, master the mission and integrate self and others into the EPC culture – will require at least 1 week per month in El Segundo main offices, and travel to other key locations. Travel will settle out to 15-20% once the design center is fully established.
