EPC社は、窒化ガリウム・パワー・トランジスタ製品の賞を授与されたファミリーを拡張し、ハーフブリッジ構成の耐圧60 VのEPC2102と80 VのEPC2103を製品化しました。
エフィシエント・パワー・コンバージョン社（EPC：Efficient Power Conversion Corporation、本社：カリフォルニア州エルセグンド）は2015年1月22日、エンハンスメント・モード窒化ガリウム・トランジスタのモノリシック・ハーフブリッジ2品種、耐圧60 Vの「EPC2102」と耐圧80 Vの「EPC2103」を発売しました。単一デバイスに、2個のeGaN®パワーFETを集積することによって、配線のインダクタンスと、プリント回路基板上で必要な間隔が除去されるので、トランジスタによって占有される基板面積が半分で済みます。エンド・ユーザーの電力変換システムの組み立てコストを削減できると同時に、（特により高い周波数における）効率と、電力密度の両方を向上できます。このハーフブリッジは、高周波DC-DC変換向けに理想的です。
一般的なバック（降圧型）・コンバータにEPC2103を使うと、スイッチング周波数500 kHzで48 Vから12 Vに変換するときのシステム効率は、出力20 Aで97％以上です。第2のデバイスである耐圧60 VのハーフブリッジEPC2102もポートフォリオに追加されます。このデバイスのシステム効率は、スイッチング周波数500 kHzで42 Vから14 Vに変換するときに、出力18 Aで98％が得られています。
2品種とも、スイッチング速度と熱特性を向上するためにチップ・スケール・パッケージで供給され、電力密度を高めるために、面積は、わずか6.05mm×2.3mmと小型です。

評価基板
評価基板の「EPC9038」と「EPC9039」は、面積2インチ×2インチ（50.8 mm×50.8 mm）で、それぞれ1個の集積化したハーフブリッジ部品EPC2102またはEPC2103を搭載しています。いずれの基板も、米テキサス・インスツルメンツ社のゲート・ドライバLM5113を使い、電源回路とバイパス・コンデンサも搭載しています。この基板は、最適なスイッチング特性が得られるようにレイアウトされ、波形測定と効率計算を容易にするために、さまざまなプローブ・ポイントを用意してあります。
