El Segundo

Must already be based in the USA

Virtual / Telecommute:

Typically two days per week remote, three days per week in person, depending on need. Primarily based in EPC's El Segundo office.

EPC is the leader in enhancement mode gallium nitride (eGaN®) based power management. eGaN FETs and integrated circuits provide performance many times greater than the best silicon power MOSFETs in applications such as DC-DC converters, remote sensing technology (LIDAR), motor drives for e-mobility, robotics, drones, and low-cost satellites.

As EPC grows rapidly and expands its portfolio of products, increasingly large datasets are collected that require organization and processing. In this role, you will analyze measurements of discrete transistors and integrate circuit (IC) components to help determine product datasheets and create models. Your contributions are essential in helping transition new devices from exploratory research to marketable products.

Job Description:

Supports the data collection and analysis pipeline to create Gallium Nitride (GaN) based discrete transistor datasheets and models.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop EPC's discrete transistor modeling flow
  • Process and analyze raw data to support the creation of product datasheets
  • Become familiar with EPC's products
  • Improve data management

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support the analysis of IC devices and products
  • Support the development of future products
  • Support collection of data as necessary

Job Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of circuits and electronic devices
  • Experienced in automated data fitting (e.g., Python)
  • Basic knowledge of statistics
  • Fluent in English language and writing
  • Ability to meet deadlines and operate autonomously

Desired Qualifications (Nice to Have):

  • Familiarity with circuit simulation (e.g., Spice)
  • Previous experience with high throughput data management

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in a relevant subject area.
