Job Description:

The Field Applications Engineer will work as technical support within the Sales and Marketing group of EPC. This includes pre and post-sales technical support to customers. The FAE works with design engineers to incorporate GaN devices into their products and helps to troubleshoot the application at all levels. FAEs support designs in power management, motor drive, RF and wireless charging applications.

FAEs work with customers on leading-edge designs using gallium nitride power management devices and assist in finalizing a design and product contracts. FAE support is critical to generate new business opportunities and assist existing customers from initial evaluation through production.

Job Requirements:

The candidate must have:

Bachelors/Masters degree in Electrical Engineering.
7 + years of experience in working with power or high-frequency applications with good customer interface qualities.
Experience with multiple end applications, including high-frequency power supplies for Telecom, Industrial, PC, and Server systems, smart meters, wireless charging, lidar, motor drive, or low-frequency RF applications.
The Sr FAE should have the ability to work with Sales and Company representatives to develop new customers and business in China.
Excellent communications and organizational skills are required.
Willingness to take on projects outside of primary role.
Excellent balance of the long-term and short-term focus is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
LTSpice, Plexim, Mathcad, and experience in layout tools like Altium, Pads, Eagle are a plus
