APEC is The Premier Global Event in Applied Power Electronics

Preparations are well underway for EPC to head to Houston for the Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC). The team is excited to be back, in-person exhibiting a large variety of demonstrations showcasing how the superior performance of GaN is transforming the delivery of power across many industries, including computing, communications, and e-mobility.

Here’s a sneak peek at some of the key application areas we will be showcasing in Booth 1302 at APEC.

48 V Automotive

GaN transistors have small footprints and low switching losses, reducing the size, weight, and material cost for automotive 48 V converters. At APEC, see how GaN enables 2 kW bidirectional converters to power the next generation of mild hybrid and electric vehicles.

48 V Computing

Space on a server board is exceptionally precious, and servers – especially those designed to perform high-end computation functions such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) – demand more and more power. At APEC, see the state-of-the-art in power density with a 5000 W/in³ LLC design for high-density computing

eMobility

GaN-based motor drives allow various applications such as warehouse autonomous robots, eMobility, and drones to reduce size and weight, extend range, and increase reliability. At APEC, we will have examples of GaN-based motors capable of driving everything from eScooters to server fans.

GaN Integration

Meet with the EPC GaN Experts in Booth 1302 to discuss the latest progress and roadmaps for GaN integration. Several examples of GaN ICs will be on display at APEC, including a monolithic GaN IC power stage and integrated GaN Power Stage Chipsets rated up to 65A powering the motor of an e-scooter.

GaN Design Support

Also, be sure to take the opportunity to work live with the web-based design tools available in the GaN Power Bench to accelerate your design cycle. These tools will be up and running in the EPC booth, and our GaN Experts will be on hand to assist and answer any questions.
