With a figure of merit (on resistance x gate charge) >5X better than silicon MOSFETs, zero reverse recovery charge, linear Coss, 80-200V GaN solutions deliver unprecedented value to the audio system.

Gallium Nitride technology in Class-D Audio benefits in high power above 100W/channel include:

  • Double the power with the same/smaller footprint
  • 500W/channel with zero mechanical heatsink
  • Lower idle power consumption
  • LPF size reduction
  • Easier multi-channel scaling due to a smaller Class D power stage per channel
  • Better audio performance, such as better SNR, lower THD+N, and lower T-IMD, because of GaN’s cleaner switching and shorter deadtime
